Why an immigration firm does this work
People who are new to a country, who are working through a language barrier, or whose status feels precarious are targeted precisely because they are thought unlikely to complain. That is true in housing, in employment, in business dealings and — often worst — in the market for immigration help itself.
Our founder has said he feels strongly that foreign nationals and their interests are frequently underrepresented. This part of the practice follows directly from that.
The matters we see most
- Notario fraud and the unauthorised practice of law — money taken for filings never made, or made so badly that they caused the harm they were meant to avoid.
- Exploitation at work — unpaid wages, and threats about status used as leverage.
- Contract and business disputes — where a party assumed the other side would not litigate.

How we approach a case
We look at the civil claim and the immigration position together, because they interact. A lawsuit can affect a pending application, and some categories of victim have immigration remedies of their own that are worth knowing about before anything is filed.
We will tell you honestly at the outset whether a claim is worth bringing.

Two things, in parallel: repairing the immigration damage, which is usually the more urgent, and pursuing the person who caused it. Bring every receipt, message and document you have.
Will suing my employer affect my immigration case?
It can, in both directions — and some victims of certain crimes and of labour exploitation have immigration remedies available to them. That is exactly why the two questions should be looked at together.
